Snowshoeing's popularity has risen significantly in the last several years. Mainly due to the easy learning curve. If you can walk you can snowshoe and that's it. Snowshoeing makes snow travel easier, by displacing your weight out over a larger surface area and by giving you better traction with crampon systems beneath the snowshoe. Four wheel drive for your feet, is what we'll call it.
Rocky Mountain National Park has endless amounts of terrain to get out and snowshoe in. One of the more popular areas to snowshoe in the winter is the Bear Lake area.
