Why are our prices so low?

Because we can! We have 15,000 square feet of retail space where we sell high volumes of low priced outdoor clothing and equipment helping us make up for the money lost on our trips. Also we aren’t out to make a ton of money anyways so we can afford to make our trip prices more reasonable. Our main goal is to get you and your family out on the rock learning to climb. If we can make a few dollars while we are at it, that’s good too, but fun is the primary objective.

Where’s the catch? There isn’t one! We employ the highest caliber instructors that love climbing and care about your overall enjoyment. The difference with us is just that we are able to afford to make a little less money for the shop because of the volume of merchandise we sell in our shop. Though our guides are compensated, if you enjoyed your experience gratuity is much appreciated!

So come check us out and enjoy the same service at the best prices in town!

Things you should know...

What Should I Bring?
Polarized sunglasses.  They make it easier to see and provide eye protection.  Sunscreen, brimmed hat, rain gear, a warm insulation layer,  a dry change of clothes, small day pack, for half day trips snacks are provided, and lunch is provided for full day trips.  Always have plenty of water along.

  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Camera
  • A sweatshirt or fleece jacket in case it is cool
  • A rain jacket or poncho. We won’t make you climb in the rain but we may wait out a brief shower.
  • A small day pack to carry these items is also important

Do You Stock Any Of These Items?
Yes, we have a fully stocked outdoor supply retail store.

What Should I Wear?
Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.  Mountain weather is unpredictable, so be prepared for rain, sun, and cold weather. For the approach you’ll need tennis shoes or light hiking boots.

What Should I Eat?
Food is important for both half and full day trips.  A light snack for half days and a nutritious lunch for full days.  Water is probably the most important item of all (a good rule is about 1 liter per 4 hour trip).

What If It Rains?
If the weather is bad we may have to cancel the trip with a full refund. If a trip is rained out during the outing we give you the option of finishing the day out in our indoor climbing gym or receiving a pro-rated refund. Your choice! We will make every effort to reschedule your trip if desired.
